Wheel well trim, yes or no??

I might be worried if you live in an area where they dump a lot of salt on the roads. I live where it rains A LOT (on a dirt road too!) and have no problems. I pressure wash the underside of my car once a year to blow out the muck.

when i got rearended, the shop took them off and didn't put them back on. i noticed and went down there the next day to get them. the guy there just told me to wash/rinse them every so often. so when i wash the car i just run my hand and the hose around the lip and clean out any debris. i wouldn't take them off, since it protects the paint. but we don't get much salt around here.

I never really thought about removing them, probably wouldn't be a good idea, lots of salt over here. Maybe in the summer I'll remove them smile

o wait, maybe my hatch won't be the same by then I'm in the process of........nah I've said too much already icon19

You put salt on your roads? Does it taste better? J/K biggrin

I've always kept them on - our Hondas are factory rustproofed and temps here range between -3 and 45 degrees Celsius. Actually - I've never seen a rusty 4G here. smile

Yeah man it makes them taste alot better. They spray all kinds of salt on the roads over here, so mine are def. staying on. Plus I"ve seen an accord that had them off and the inside of the wheel wells were covered with dents and chips. I pressure wash mine every couple months. We dont' have that much of a problem with rust though well not as bad as coastal areas.

NO RUST!!!????? damn, i see 4Gs around here all the time with rust. I always thought that was a problem with the metal on some 88-91s? or am i wrong?

I have not a bit of rust on any of my panels. Had some behind the bumpers but i have since dealt with that. Since my car doesn't get driven a whole lot during the winter...usually because it is being worked on...the car doesn't see a lot of salt and stones. smile

my si doesn't have rust, but the dx sure does, damn salt is evil i tell, and the snow, well it is just the anti-christ, trust me i spent many a night pondering this vary fact, i can just about prove it too...

not sure what you mean? the ones on the rear that cover the lip? if so, I took mine off years ago. I like the 'idea' of them, but unless you remove them regularly they will cause problems. it's easier to keep clean and waxed with them off.

I have NOT ONE SPOT of rust on my civic, and I live in Cleveland smile
